I have never experienced Art of Hosting before, can I join?

You are absolutely welcome to join the training without any prior experience. As Art of Hosting is about participatory leadership, your decision to join will mark the essential first step of the training.

Of course, if you feel the call to learn how to host and harvest meaningful conversations in your communities, organizations, families, or groups, the training will be more beneficial for you. Even more so, if the calling question and the invitation really resonate with you, and you really sense a “Yes! I want to talk and hear more about this topic.” then you’re in the right place. Please come and contribute to the collective field!

What language will be used in the training? Will there be an interpreter?

Art of Hosting is an international training and we are expecting participants from different regions/ countries. While for 2025, we endeavor to provide interpreting for the training, English will still be the main language for content delivery. You’re welcome to use language(s) that feels most comfortable to you during group discussion wherever possible. 

In previous trainings, participants tried their best to support each other to navigate through language differences.

How often do you organize an Art of Hosting training?

Art of Hosting is a self-organized community event, there is no organization to run or organize the training periodically. The training happens when there is a dedicated group of people feels the calling and has the momentum to step up to organize it.

For Taiwan, this call came in 2023 and took more than one year to dream, manifest and put everything in place, so it’s finally here! The next one always starts with someone’s ‘calling’ for it.

I want to contribute to the Gifts to the Community fund, will I receive a receipt?

Currently we only have a shared pool of community fund which can be accessed by all organizers. We work on a trust-based system and cannot offer a donation receipt. If you wish to contribute, please ask one of the organizers to help transfer your contribution.

Can I bring my family who are not joining the training?

Depends on the number of participants and your room capacity, if there are spaces available the answer is absolutely yes, and you will need to pay the extra for your family’s accommodation. Unfortunately, due to the complexity of administration, we’re unable to cater for food for people who are not attending this training, please take care of the food arrangement by yourself.

I have to miss some parts of the training, can I still join? Can I arrive late or leave early?

Yes, although it would be ideal if you could join the full training to observe the whole flow of it. In the case that you have to arrive late or leave early, you will need to inform us. Your training fee will not be reimbursed for the missed parts of the training.

What if I need to cancel my spot or give it to someone else?

If you need to cancel your registration, please email us at [email protected] and attach your bank account information. The date we receive your email will be considered your official refund request date.

Refund policy

  • On or before June 15, 2025: NTD 300 administrative fee will be deducted.
  • On or before June 30, 2025: 20% of the ticket price will be deducted.
  • Between July 1–16, 2025: 50% of the ticket price will be deducted.
  • Starting July 17, 2025 (Day 1 of the program): No refunds will be given.

Note: If your account is not with First Commercial Bank (007), an additional NTD 30 transfer fee will be deducted.

 

Ticket transfer

  • You may transfer your ticket to someone else if you can no longer attend.
  • Please notify us via email in advance.

 

Exceptions

  • If you are unable to attend due to illness or a confirmed infectious disease on the event day, a refund may be issued upon presentation of a medical certificate or treatment receipt, with necessary costs deducted.
  • In the case of force majeure(e.g. typhoon, earthquake, pandemic), the organizers may cancel, reschedule, or shorten the program for safety reasons. A refund will be provided after deducting incurred and necessary costs from the overall program budget.
