#theartofhosting is an amazing chance to not only upskill your design and delivery of impactful workshops, it is a chance to learn from some of the most passionate and committed people in the world of hosting conversations that matter.
The delivery team came from Japan Vietnam Brazil the Netherlands and Taiwan and really brought “it” to the four day workshop.
My big insight came from the Four Fold Practice.
Host yourself: listen deeply to yourself to know what is best for you to ensure your own participation.
Be Hosted: suspend judgement and allow yourself to be fully hosted and supported by the team process and group.
Host Others: be ready to play the role of host and do so graciously.
Co-create a community of practice: make space for collective wisdom over time to co-create the new and innovative.
I gotta be honest.
I have a hard time being hosted. And the hosting team and participants made that not just easy but also a joy.
Thanks to Sara Huang 黃詩惠 🇹🇼🇳🇱 for calling this into being and for inviting me to be a part of the first AOH in Taiwan.
If you ever have a chance to attend a workshop I strongly recommend making the time.
